Got myself a dremel 3000. After couple of weeks I was cutting some woodscrews and it just stopped working. Overheated! First what I thought. I needed it next day, so sending for waranty was not best option for me. So what a hell, decided to open it up and check what is going on.
Long story short, after testing continuity on stator, found that one winding was out. After inspection found that wire just broke loose from contact it was pressed on.
So I took out the contact, drilled the hole in plastic, glued back in the contact and soldered extended wire to it.
So, thats a short story about “dremel quality”, sucker failed just after couple of weeks while barely using it.
